Merry xmas bbs! I haven't been around much this fall and it SUX. It's been a shitty semester all around. Lots of high-end drama, lots of me playing hooky because I hate my professors and the worthless shit I have to learn, bleh.
So xmas break I am doing nothing and it is wonderful. WELL, actually, I am shopping for a new laptop because my old one for school (not my backup netbook) is fucking DYING. AGAIN. And guess what? It's the goddamn motherboard again. FOR THE THIRD TIME. So, if I *could* get a replacement, which I can't, or if I can would exceed the cost of a new computer, it would be the fourth motherboard on that damn pile of shit.
So instead I am looking at some sexy motherfuckers with things like 500GB hard drives (!) and core i7 which idfk exactly what that means only that it's FAST AS FUCK and I like that. And they all seem to come with Windows 7 which I don't give a fuck about, honestly.
Anyone use Windows 7? I'd like to know how it compares to XP since that's what I know how to use.
Also, the first thing I will do when I get it is turn off the damn transparency. Bleh. Waste of memory.
Anyway, so, since everyone else is doing it, the xmas haul:
-A crock pot (bc I am the world's laziest cook, 4srs)
-casserole dishes <---I think this means I am grown up. =/
-the Pirates' Night Before Christmas childrens' book (maybe not.)
-Tiki Roadtrip
-Indiana Jones Off the Beaten Path
-Last Chance to See
-$25 B&N gift card
-framed collage of photos of me from our show this summer & tickets from all the shows my parents went to
-Indiana Jones & the Staff of Kings for PS2
-for my sister and I, Twilight Zone S1 on dvd!!! but I don't think my sister cares.
-Troopers "finals" shirt
-Crazyshirt Mele Kalikimaka shirt with Santa instead of the Beach Boys
-reproduction civil-war patch, buckle, and company pin from the cavalry from where I live whose uniforms we have our uniforms styled after for the corps I compete with. :D my dad is a huge nerd, and he is awesome. And Troopers are awesome.
Anyway, bbs, how are your breaks going? I'm enjoying finally relaxing... and 2010 can't come soon enough.
